Two new lesson packages have been added to the
Judaism
section of the Bare RE website. The lesson
packages are:
What does Passover
commemorate?
How has the treatment
of Jews in the UK changed over time?
As always, you can expect a range of activities on
the stimulating online
presentation covering
high-level skills and
concepts.
There are now ten lessons on the Judaism section of
the Bare RE website. And there's more to come, more lesson packages
will be added in later updates!

Three new lesson packages have been added to the
Christianity
section of the Bare RE website. The lesson
packages are:
How has the Church’s
influence on marriage changed in the last thousand
years?
Did Maximilian Kolbe
deserve to be made a saint?
Was Dietrich Bonhoeffer a
great Christian?
Part of the update covers
famous and inspirational Christians and
considers what it takes to lead a Christian life.
There will be more lesson packages covering this
theme in later updates.

A new revision package has been added to the
revision
section of Bare RE based on the new module of lesson
packages about multi-ethnic
society.
All
Bare RE revision packages allow
students to revise in
school or at home using resources similar
to the lesson packages - an
online presentation
supported with
comprehensive revision notes. The
flashcard
containing the key points is very useful, often
printed out and left around the classroom or
students home to drill home the basics!

section of the Bare RE website. The lesson
packages are:

to racial harmony?
What are Muslim attitudes to
racial harmony?
What are Jewish attitudes to
racial harmony?
They focus on the key exam
skills needed to improve grades at GCSE
level, covering knowledge,
explanation and
communication.

The Humanism
section of the Bare RE website has been updated
again, with three more lesson packages. The lesson
packages are:
How do Humanists mark rites
of passage?
How do Humanists make
moral decisions?
Why is Richard Dawkins a
famous Humanist?
The update completes a a six-lesson module on a
secular world view,
giving students a chance to study an alternative
system of belief and reasoning.

and
comprehensive revision notes. The
flashcard
containing the key points for that topic can be
printed out and carried around for a constant
reminder of the basics, or for last minute cramming!

Marriage and Family
section of Bare RE, each of which focus on religious
attitudes to sex.
Like all
Bare RE resources, they
develop exam skills needed to achieve the
best grades at GCSE, but remain
accessible to all levels.
The lesson packages are:

What are Christian attitudes
to sex?
What are Muslim
attitudes to sex?
What are Jewish attitudes to
sex?

A new revision
section has been added to Bare RE.
There are currently six
revision packages, each based on the
existing GCSE
resources in the Bare RE catalogue.
Students can use them either in school, or be given
the freedom to revise using the revision packages
while they are at home.
Each revision package has the usual Bare RE
online presentation
that delivers the knowledge and exam skills that
students need for exam success in an engaging way.
There are also
comprehensive revision notes and a
flashcard
containing the key points for that topic.
